What are the reasons that my news release may be rejected?

There are four reasons that a news release would be rejected:

  1. Your release did not utilize proper sentence case. This could mean that all or portions of your  release was written using only capital letters, or did not demonstrate use of proper capitalization.
  2. Your release contained inappropriate content. This means that the submitted release had instances of  in appropriate or offensive language, subject matter, or links.
  3. Your release did not meet the minimum required word count. News releases should be at least 200 words.
  4. Your release was determined to be an advertisement/sales promotion. News releases should only be  used to make news announcements.
